It wasn’t the plan

What I like during weekends, it’s everything that I cannot plan. We were in Western Mass this weekend and this is the not-planned stuff.

  • A bear, crossing the road in front of us. We saw it from far away and first thought it was a goat… then a dog, and eventually: A BEAR!
  • A pancake breakfast that looked like a vintage village celebration in an old barn. Spending 7 dollars for good pancakes, sausages and local maple syrup: it should be mandatory to start a Sunday morning like that.
  • The Bnb we stayed at was a truly gorgeous historic house with an awesome garden. We arrived late the night before, it was pitch dark. When we woke up on Sunday morning, I wondered for 30 seconds where I was: heaven?

But, well, I wasn’t lucky all weekend long: I lost my glasses in a river. Long story short: I fell in an extremely dangerous river. Manu and Maïté, who passed the rapids easily, were looking at me – and laughing – when I fell ungracefully in the cold water.
