As I read on the presentation of the museum, the John F. Kennedy Library & Museum is a memorial for the 35e President of the United States. Conceived by the designer Pei (he also made the Louvre Pyramid in Paris), this museum was built thanks to the private donations of more than 36 millions of people in the whole world. It was opened in 1979, and 6 millions of people visited it. The library has archives of the president and his family, pics, videos, etc. Ok. That’s the bright side of the figures. But the truth is that I was totally bored by this visit.

Bon appétit made in USA // Sandwichs, beer et curly fries
I’m sometimes wondering what do I miss from France. I know it’s 100% cliché but what I really miss is eating good bread. And especially a baguette: nice crust, fresh breadcrumbs. We’ve been there for almost 3 months and every morning we open the bread pack, a bread that never get moldy, which it’s strange. Sometimes, I go to buy some bread in a so-called “French Bakery”. I buy Italian bread, but… it’s not the same. Stop complaining, there’s plenty of good food here. I know… temptations of the junk food are everywhere, specially in the Food Court of the university…
Video // Follow the red line of the Freedom Trail
I’ve already wrote a post about the Freedom trail, but it was a freezing Sunday in February. I preferred saving my fingers and let my camera in my backpack along the 2.5 miles path. This week, as the weather was like summertime, I thought it was perfect to finish this tour.
Friends // Hugs and French food
Having friends is our big challenge. We’ve been in Boston for almost 3 months, and we will be there for the next 2 years: we need friends. So we are always looking for every occasion to meet potential new friends, and possibly a BFF. Time to hang out to eat pizza and drink tepid beer with friends is definitely over as we are approaching 30 years old. Hanging out as a couple with another couple, a thing I used to despise (it’s lame and too serious), is an event I now love: what a great way to drink wine with nice people! I’ve met another couple to hang out with. Our “friend-compatibility” is in progress and that’s why I invited them to have diner at our place. We made a blanquette de veau (a kind of veal stew, nothing to do with this pic below)…
Alouette, gentille alouette // I’m coming back to school
I have a new job: I teach French to French-speaking children. I’m an assistant for the main teacher, her class has ten 8 years old. After several classes, I’m started to like the ambiance “somebody stole my pen” and “Mathiiiiiildee can I go to the bathroom?!!”. But when I started, I was panicked. Continue reading
